General Description
Cystorelin is a synthetic decapeptide gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) that is chemically identical to the naturally occurring hypothalamic GnRH. It is primarily used in veterinary reproductive medicine and consists of the sequence pGlu-His-Trp-Ser-Tyr-Gly-Leu-Arg-Pro-Gly-NH2.
Mechanism of Action
Cystorelin binds to GnRH receptors on pituitary gonadotroph cells, stimulating the synthesis and release of both luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). The resulting LH surge triggers ovulation in synchronized estrus cycles.
Application
Used in veterinary reproductive medicine for estrus synchronization and ovulation induction in cattle. Cystorelin is a synthetic GnRH decapeptide chemically identical to native hypothalamic GnRH, designed to stimulate gonadotropin release for controlled breeding programs and reproductive management in livestock.
Gonadorelin, the active ingredient in Cystorelin, is a synthetic decapeptide identical to endogenous gonadotropin-releasing hormone. The mechanism of action involves binding with high affinity to specific GnRH receptors on gonadotrope cells in the anterior pituitary gland, triggering an increase in free intracellular calcium and activation of downstream effector pathways. This receptor activation stimulates the synthesis and release of luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone into the circulation. In cattle, the GnRH-induced LH surge typically causes ovulation of dominant follicles within 24 to 32 hours.

What differentiates Cystorelin from other GnRH analogs in veterinary use?
Cystorelin is chemically identical to native GnRH, making it the natural choice for stimulating gonadotropin release, unlike modified analogs which have altered receptor binding and metabolic profiles.
What storage conditions are required?
Should be stored at 2-8℃ in a tightly sealed container, protected from light and moisture.
What purity grade is provided?
Supplied as a high-purity grade suitable for veterinary pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing.
Can packaging be customized?
Order quantities and packaging can be customized to meet specific veterinary R&D and production requirements.
