Low-substituted hydroxypropyl cellulose (L-HPC)

It is mainly used as tablet disintegrating agent and filling agent to improve the disintegration speed of tablets, accelerate the disintegration of tablets with poor disintegration and the fineness of dispersion after disintegration, so as to improve the degree of bio-availability, meanwhile, it has the effect of bonding, and it can promote the formation of the hardness of tablets for the drugs which are not easy to be formed. It can be used in wet granulation, can be added into dry granules, and can be added into starch slurry as binder, all of which can receive the effect of improving the hardness and disintegration of tablets.
