Description

Fursultiamine is a disulfide derivative of thiamine, or an allithiamine. It has potential uses in the treatment of vitamin B1 deficiency. It acts by modulating the activity of various enzymes, hormones, and neurotransmitters, as well as by exerting antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Specific enzymes that it inhibits include acetylcholinesterase, monoamine oxidase, and cyclooxygenase.
