General Description

FMOC-D-CHA-OH is the Fmoc-protected form of D-cyclohexylalanine. This non-proteinogenic amino acid is a saturated analog of D-phenylalanine, featuring a cyclohexyl ring instead of a phenyl ring.

Mechanism of Action

It serves as a hydrophobic, bulky building block. The cyclohexyl moiety provides greater lipophilicity and steric bulk than a phenyl group, which can enhance the binding affinity of peptides to hydrophobic pockets in proteins.

Application
